Chiddingstone Castle, hidden away in Kent’s countryside, is a wonderful setting for a fairytale ceremony and reception. Ceremonies are held in either The Great Hall or White Rose Room, or The Orangery, with the 35 acre castle grounds and lake an idyllic backdrop for photographs.
Features-
– Chiddingstone Castle is one of Kent’s finest Historic Houses with a history that can be traced back to the early 16th Century. With the Castle and grounds closed to the public, we are able to offer exclusive use throughout a wedding day.
-Chiddingstone Castle has been licensed to conduct wedding ceremonies for many years, but interest has been renewed since the re-launch of The Victorian Orangery. With its award-winning glazed roof, the Orangery is a stunning Grade II* listed structure that commands spectacular views. If not used as the ceremony location, it’s a spectacular spot for photos.
-During winter months, or in wet weather, the ceremony is conducted in the majestic Great Hall. This grand, formal room is also used for the wedding breakfast, with its Tudor heritage reflected in the oak panelling. The bridal couple signs the register at our 17th Century oak refectory table beneath the stained glass window. An aisle can be created from the Print Room behind and, following the ceremony, drinks and canapés can be served in the adjacent White Rose Drawing Room, a light and elegant room offering breathtaking views of the Weald.
– We can accommodate up to 80 inside the castle for a wedding breakfast and 120 for the evening reception, with an opportunity to use our marquee to accommodate the wedding breakfast for larger guest numbers, charged at an additional fee.

We work with the bride’s choice of florist, photographer and stylist, and our team of experienced, knowledgeable, friendly staff work professionally behind the scenes to make every occasion run seamlessly.
